We believe that market cycles are moving so rapidly that the growth choices for us and our customers are no longer “buy vs. build” but rather “buy and build”. We believe that platform companies that deliver solutions as “one-stop” shops are the wave of the future.

Hence, we are growing an advisory business and advisory network to complement our principal activities (private equity and venture) and asset management partnership. In this way, we broaden our reach in terms of the vertical markets to which our technology reaches.

Pegasus Advisors: Joseph Pianelli, Managing Director

Joe Pianelli has over 24 years of experience in strategy, finance, corporate development, business formation, and senior level operating experience in the following sectors: Wireless, Software, Media (publishing/digital media platforms) Internet and Retail. Joe has raised hundreds of millions of dollars across various transactions. Joe is a board member of Owl Multimedia.

Formerly, as Vice President of Wireless Innovation at RadioShack Corp., Joe was responsible for the development of new business ventures. He led the creation of a strategic joint venture with Affinity Mobile Inc and Western Union to launch a prepaid cellphone with unique voice/data/financial service offerings targeting key RadioShack customer segments. He developed senior working relationships on a global basis with Yahoo, Motorola, Ericsson, EA/JAMDAT, Carphone Warehouse, Sprint, Cingular and other RadioShack strategic partners to create new product offerings and business platforms.

Joe has helped shaped the PlainSight Group’s approach to university commercialization drawing on his experience as a Special Limited Partner of TechStar, an organization focused on tech-transfer and the commercialization of University research and innovations.

Joe earned a BA in Economics from the City University of New York.

  • $5.25 million capital raise in Dec. 2007 for venture round of software/next generation mobile 2.0 user interface and platform
  • $8 million capital raise and strategic advice in June 2007 for venture round of multi-vendor/tenant wireless platform/tech enabled business service
  • $1 million capital raise in April 2007 for venture round of tech services/hosted software for Virtual Data Rooms (VDR)

  • $150 million Tech services/MVNO - JV btw Radio Shack and Affinity Mobile
